The past weekend was a huge one for Magic players. SCG Invitational took place in Columbus, which accounted for weekend's Constructed Magic. In addition to this, three Limited GPs were played around the world.

The GP Top 8 decklists can found in their respective links:

As can be seen from the decklists, each GP was won with a different color combination (RW, BR & UB). Based on these results, there's not a clear trend of a certain archetype dominating the format but it should be noted that none of the winning decks included Green in them. Personally I feel that the aggressive strategies are strong in both Sealed and Draft in this limited format. I'd rank the colors in following order: B > R > W > G > U.

In Columbus, the direction of the format remained very much the same from last week's SCG Open. The best performing decks by a fair margin were again White Humans decks and Bant Compant. The event was won with this Mono White Humans list:

4 Town Gossipmonger
4 Thraben Inspector
3 Gryff's Boon
4 Thalia's Lieutenant
4 Always Watching
4 Declaration in Stone
2 Stasis Snare
4 Consul's Lieutenant
3 Kytheon, Hero of Akros
1 Archangel of Tithes
3 Dragon Hunter
4 Knight of the White Orchid
20 Plains

3 Hanweir Militia Captain
2 Eerie Interlude
1 Stasis Snare
2 Hallowed Moonlight
3 Archangel of Tithes
3 Silkwrap
1 Hidden Dragonslayer

The best performing decks from the Invitational can be found here: Standard & Modern.

Pro Tour Shadows over Innistrad takes place this weekend, starting on Friday. Pro Tour usually showcases the start of a new format but it is not the case this time. There's already a solid base for the format with Humans and Bant Company dominating the format.  It will be very interesting to see how the pros are able to tackle these decks or are they just going to hop on board and enjoy the ride. Interesting times!

Have a good Monday,
