40 years of role-playing

How long has your longest game lasted? We came across an amazing video of a campaign that has been running on for over 40 years. History Professor Robert Wardhaugh has been dungeon mastering passionately this massive game for several hundred people in his apartment since the 80’s.

In addition to the great world and story, Robert makes sure the game is visually memorable. With several thousand painted miniatures and terrain pieces, this really makes the game come to life. In the video, Robert opens up that the game fills most of his free time and fully harnesses his creativity.

An excellent 10-minute clip from Wired can be viewed here.

New epic roll-and-write

A completely new game in the world of Twilight Imperium has been announced on Fantasy Flight Games Live, and it could land on our gaming tables as early as this winter. The work that bears the name of Twilight Inscription promises to bring epic to the roll-and-write genre. The game's designer, James Kniffen, has previously been involved in making the acclaimed Forbidden Stars and Civilization: A New Dawn games, among others.

This wildly sized roll-and-write is worth taking a closer look at Dicebreaker's video  and FFG's own product page. We have also opened preorder for those who want to make sure to get their copies on the launch.
